Barry and Joan brought home the Original “Afternoon Together” We had a wonderful time in the studio over a glass of Artiste wine “Finding Romance”. “Afternoon Together” has gone into production for a Limited Edition and only 75 Signed and Numbered produced. Each Limited I personally Embellish sign and number.

Quartly Fine Art just released “lost In Venice” and “Moments With You”. Both Works inspired by studies in Venecia Italy. The Original works are now in private collection. These new pieces are offered in a limited number of carefully crafted fine art prints. Each piece is crafted by Quartly Fine Arts Atelier- Eclipse Workshop. In the studio Quartly takes each work and Embellishes with paint in select areas and even adds in remarks requested by the collector of the work. This year I had the opportunity to work with Lloyd and Paula on their Commissioned Work. We started with a sketch and worked together to build the painting. They had a beautiful home with a large space above the fireplace perfect for a large work.

The Day of Unveiling was fun Thank you Lloyd and Paula for adding this piece to your art collection!

“AFTERNOON TOGETHER” just released in March and is finding new homes every week. Only 85 in the Total Edition! Each piece I love to embellish myself and have so much fun telling the story in the galleries about how I jumped the wall into this abandoned Villa to see this view. After painting Portofino all week, this was the scene that stood out to me!

In the 1520s in Europe, miniature portraits started being used used as jewelry, in lockets and brooches, particularly in France and England. Miniatures were especially popular in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. This Niche painting has been celebrated and collected over the centuries.

A rule many ascribe to is that to qualify as a miniature painting, the subject must be painted no more than one sixth of its actual size. So an adult head would be about 9″. Some societies stipulate maximum sizes, for instance 5×7″ or 10×10cm.

I have had the pleasure to be apart of the Exclusive collections Gallery in San Diego. They host an annual miniature show with the artists that are currently represented. A wonderful event and will continue to grow and impact the community for art.
